Am 13.10.2021 war es wieder so weit. Für das NEDGEX Team fand der nächste Pitchday vor dem Digital Sounding Board statt. Im Zuge dessen möchten wir euch unser neues Projekt simpleKat vorstellen. SimpleKat beschäftigt sich mit der Führung, Pflege und Automatisierungsmöglichkeit von Gefahrstoffkatastern. Die initiale Idee zu diesem Projekt stammt von unserem Kollegen Robert Rosen der NLT, welcher mit der Thematik des Gefahrstoffmanagements und auf uns zu kam. Im nächsten Schritt entschieden wir uns dafür, das Thema bei dem Radical Innovation Sprint an der Universität Bayreuth tiefer gehend zu explorieren. Die von dem Team am Radical Innovation Sprint weiterentwickelte Idee haben wir im Nachgang noch einmal mit den NETZSCH Geschäftsbereichen besprochen und validiert. Wir bedanken uns an dieser Stelle herzlich für die super Zusammenarbeit und den essenziellen Input, den wir aus den Gesprächen mitnehmen konnten.
Aus der Grundproblematik entsteht eine konkrete Lösung: SimpleKat. Unser Lösungsansatz vermeidet nicht nur verschiedene Systembrüche innerhalb der Datensammlung und Aufbereitung, sondern bietet aufgrund seiner automatischen Aktualisierung auch die Sicherheit, dass Sicherheitsdatenblätter immer auf dem aktuellen Stand sind. SimpleKat zeichnet sich durch einen geringen Kosten- und Zeitaufwand aus, macht die manuelle Pflege obsolet und somit weniger fehleranfällig. SimpleKat soll in der Zukunft Arbeiter:innen in KMUs die müßige Arbeit mit Sicherheitsdatenblättern vereinfachen und als effiziente und wirtschaftliche Lösung fungieren, mit der überteuerte Anbieter auf dem Markt nicht mithalten können.
SimpleKat erhielt nach einer konstruktiven Feedbackrunde beim Pitchday vom Management die Freigabe für die nächste Phase und wird von unserem Team nun noch einmal von allen Seiten beleuchtet, um zum bestmöglichen Ergebnis zu gelangen.

Our new project simpleKat gets clearance
for the next phase at Pitchday!
On 13.10.2021 it was that time again. For the NEDGEX team the next pitchday took place in front of the Digital Sounding Board. In the course of this, we would like to introduce our new project simpleKat. SimpleKat deals with the management, maintenance and automation of hazardous material registers. The initial idea for this project came from our colleague Robert Rosen at NLT, who approached us with the topic of hazardous substance management and made us aware of the problem. In the next step, we decided to explore the topic in more depth at the Radical Innovation Sprint at the University of Bayreuth. We discussed and validated the idea developed by the team at the Radical Innovation Sprint with the NETZSCH business units again afterwards. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their excellent cooperation and the essential input we were able to take away from the discussions.
A concrete solution emerges from the basic problem: SimpleKat. Our solution approach not only avoids various system discontinuities within the data collection and preparation, but also offers the certainty that safety data sheets are always up to date due to its automatic updating. SimpleKat is characterized by low cost and time requirements, makes manual maintenance obsolete and is therefore less prone to errors. In the future, SimpleKat should simplify the tedious work of safety data sheets for workers in SMEs and act as an efficient and economical solution that overpriced providers on the market cannot compete with.
After a constructive round of feedback at the pitch day, SimpleKat was approved by the management for the next phase and will now be examined again by our team from all sides in order to achieve the best possible result.
