In an increasingly globalized and interconnected world, the search for learning and growth opportunities transcends borders. In this context, NEDGEX offers an innovative destination for international students seeking a unique andenriching experience in Florianopolis, Brazil. Therefore, we started a collaboration with the UTUM (UnternehmerTUM) and Manage&More Program to offer young entrepreneurs a 3 month scholarship to collect international experience in Brazil. With a special focus on startups, new business development and innovation, ourcompany has provided transformative opportunities for scholarship students like Stephanie Bonilla and Martina Preis, who shared their experiences with us.

Stephany Bonilla:  A Journey of Professional and Personal Discovery

 

Stephany, a TUM student from Ecuador, found her experience truly inspiring. During her internship, she not only explored her research skills in the field of sustainability startups and global innovation programs but also immersed herself in an international team environment. Despite her initial language barrier, her outgoing personality and foundation in Spanish helped her to communicate fluently in Portuguese in a matter of weeks. Stephany emphasized the importance of regular team events facilitating her integration, stating, “I liked it very much indeed – the people andthe country. The team was incredible and made me feel at home.”

 

These events played a crucial role in helping her become an integral part of the group and grow her professional experience. Additionally, the opportunity to learn Portuguese significantly shaped her journey, leaving her with a lastingsense of gratitude and professional fulfillment.

Martina Preis: Ready for new international opportunities

 

As of September 2023, we can welcome Martina, another enthusiastic student from the Technical University in Munich, Germany. Martina has already collected a vast diversity of international experience, including two recent internships in the global technological and entrepreneurial powerhouse Israel. She shares her excitement aboutgetting involved in Brazil’s startup ecosystem and immersing herself in the rich culture of Florianópolis, stating, “I’mvery excited to dive into the startup ecosystem of Brazil and to get to know the culture of the people in Florianopolis.”

 

The opportunity to work in different companies will allow her to explore different topics and work environments,enriching her skillset of knowledge and professional experience, as she enthusiastically proclaims, “Let’s get this journey started!” Martina’s anticipation for new opportunities is evident and adds to the vibrant atmosphere oflearning and growth within our organization.
